New Beginnings

We are celebrating one week at our Cairns Base! 

Cairns Flight Training is officially up (quite literally) and operating. During our first week we were able to offer seven students the benefits of studying with CFT out of the Cairns International Airport. 

CQUniversity Bachelor of Aviation student, Emma Dobson was our first student to take to the sky and enjoyed a stunning flight around the area, taking in the beautiful coastal views. Yeah the girls! 

Aviatrix Australia manager, Georgie Arnold says she is looking forward to traveling up North from Townsville to meet the ladies and welcome them into the Aviatrix community in the coming week. Aviatrix Australia supports the study of women in aviation and we are thrilled to have three Aviatrix already enrolled at CFT! 

To finish our first week, on Saturday and Sunday we were able to provide the Cadets with their first flight! As a part of being an Airforce Cadet - the cadets have the opportunity to experience flight in light aircraft, they experienced this in Cairns with our G1000 equipped Cessna 172 & 182. 

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for this new adventure and look forward to the opportunities that this flightpath will bring.
